Students of the University of the Cordilleras’ College of Accountancy have proven their might during the Search for the Philippines’ Brightest Buwis Masters of 2023 Regional Tax Quiz held on July 3, 2023, at the Newtown Plaza Hotel. 

The Search for the Philippines’ Brightest Buwis Masters of 2023 Regional Tax Quiz was hosted by Revenue Region No. 2, consisting of Revenue District Offices 7 to 12, and was attended by different schools in the Cordillera Administrative Region. A total of 34 students participated in the elimination round. 

Kaycee M. Segundo, Jezze Antoinette S. Padon, Maverick B. Mendoza, and Paul Michael W. Bengtay, all second-year BSA students, advanced to the Final Round together with representatives from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, the University of Baguio, Kalinga State University, and Saint Louis University.

Kaycee M. Segundo clinched 2nd Runner Up of the competition, accumulating a total of 176 points in the Final Round. Moreover, Maverick B. Mendoza (171 points) and Jezze Antoinette S. Padon (160 points) placed 4th and 5th, respectively.

Other students who participated in the regional tax quiz bee were Camila Marie S. Cayago, Jem Sandy F. Colebra, Mark Owen R. Garcia, Mikaela D. Juan, Jeckson L. Kikim, and Aliya Lain E. Padilla, who are all third-year BSA students.

The 2nd Runner-Up received a certificate, a cash prize, and tokens from different RDOs in the region. All contestants were also awarded certificates of participation and gift certificates.
