To be financially stable, one must learn to save money. It creates opportunities for the future and provides greater security in life. So, as early as we can, we have to educate ourselves and the youth the value of savings.

At Laoac Elementary School, sixth graders are taught valuable lessons about saving money and how to be smart with their finances. Through the program, they gain the knowledge and abilities necessary to make wise financial decisions. This relates to Sustainable Development Goals 4, 12, and 17, which are Partnership for the Goals, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Quality Education.
The following charitable donors made the event possible: Mr. A, Joel Olpindo, Freddie Ocupio, Nidie Salazar, Patricia Padilla, Anna Marie Mariano, Marenel Dalida, Mary Grace Cruz, Samuel Calderon, Loren Dangatan, Arthur Dangatan, Charlie Soligam, Junel Malinias, Onofre Malinias, Maribell Carino and Maria Teng-eg. Additionally, the Laoac Elementary School PTA, the Laoac Barangay Council, and Laoac Elementary School are collaborators in this endeavor.
As per Hannah, this project started as a requirement but developed into a lifelong experience, a memory worth keeping, and an opportunity for growth. “In project management, it always has to start within ourselves, we have to have the heart of service and to love what we are doing, above all, you cannot give what you do not have. While maintaining self-belief, it’s essential to remain humble and continuously seek opportunities for growth. Within teams, shifting from “I” to “we” is crucial, as we function as a unified body where each part is indispensable.” she added.
In the long run, every penny you save now matters a lot. Don’t put it off any longer; start saving today!
