A student leadership training was spearheaded by the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants with the theme “The New Era of Student Leaders: Adapting to the Dynamic Environment” on May 12, 2023, at the Cañao Hall of the University of the Cordilleras.

The event was facilitated by the Office of Student Affairs and Service, under the guidance of Ms. Gladys Rudio-Corpuz, the Student Organizations and Activities Coordinator of the university. She was assisted by Ms. Kitz Salud, a member of Ms. Gladys’ working committee. Moreover, Ms. Rochelle Faith A. Malafu, a former University Student Council President of the alma mater, and Ms. Jhamie Codod, a former University Student Council Senator, were also invited to share their insights, stories, and experiences during their time as student leaders and as current leaders of their respective organizations.

The leadership training was joined by the officers of the different organizations within the College of Accountancy, namely the College Student Council, the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, the Audit Committee, Les Aconter, and the class mayors of every block, with 49 participants in total. It aimed to further enhance the leadership capacity of student leaders, especially in this digital era.
