Five third-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) students from the University of the Cordilleras (UC) participated in the 24th Regional Mid-Year Convention (RMYC), hosted by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) – Region I and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
Commencing on January 16, 2026, at the Baguio Crown Legacy Hotel, the three-day annual event brought together students from accountancy and accountancy-related programs from various local chapters within Region I and CAR.
The participants engaged in academic competitions, forged personal and professional connections, and took part in non-academic activities. By the end, the convention aimed to foster intellectual and personal growth that would shape students’ paths in their respective accounting careers.
The Local Chapter of University of the Cordilleras – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants proudly fielded five representatives: Roxanne Cabantoc, Jared Paul Malecdan, Chris Jericho Ordanza, Arfiele Zhairome Ramiscal, and Enrico Tolentino – all third-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students.
By the end of the convention, the students earned notable achievements. Arfiele Ramiscal secured 7th place in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗝𝗣𝗜𝗔 𝗖𝘂𝗽, an event exclusive to third- through fifth-year students covering all board subjects in the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE).
Enrico Tolentino placed 6th in 𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗨𝗣 𝟱, an academic competition focused on taxation within the CPALE syllabus.
