Renowned accounting firm Isla Lipana & Co., otherwise known as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Philippines, in collaboration with the University of the Cordilleras Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UC JPIA), orchestrated a PwC visit in a bid to impart valuable insights and propel the professional journeys of young aspiring accountants at the UC Auditorium on January 9.
The College of Accountancy (COA) students engaged in interactive discussions where experts from PwC Philippines shared their knowledge on strengthening personal brands and their importance in the competitive job market. Furthermore, an interview workshop was conducted to emphasize the crucial role of effective communication in the hiring process. Attendees were encouraged to develop such skills to stand out in the industry.
In addition to the knowledge gained, COA students were introduced to different career opportunities offered at Isla Lipana & Co. The speakers further imparted the firm’s performance. As evidenced in the recent study by Prosple, Isla Lipana & Co. was rewarded as the Philippines’ top accounting and advisory graduate employer and is within the top 100 employers for fresh graduates in accounting and advisory.
Moreover, PwC Philippines currently has offices around Ortigas, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo, and accordingly, a soon-to-rise branch in Baguio City, which may possibly open more employment opportunities in the future.
